July 10th, 2015 MLB Betting Tips

Updated: July 10, 2015

Hey everyone and welcome to the inaugural tips post from Baseball Bryan. I have been making tips online at other sites for quite awhile and decided to finally start my own site. I use a combination of statistical analysis and just general scouting for my picks. I have attained a decent record over the years and it just feels like I keep getting better and better.

I also play a good bit of daily fantasy baseball and I feel like my tips often inform my fantasy teams so I will also post occasional fantasy advice as well. I prefer FanDuel as it feels more like pure fantasy baseball to me, but I do play a bit at DraftKings as well. Anyways, enough about me let’s get to today’s tips!

Our first game of the day is the Toronto Blue Jays at the Kansas City Royals. This one should be a high scoring game and I was honestly surprised to see the total set so low at 8 runs. The starters in this one are definitely on the low-end of each team’s rotation and both teams have just been crushing the ball lately. Marco Estrada is pitching for Toronto and he has been prone to the long ball throughout his career. Danny Duffy heads to the mound for the Royals, but unfortunately for him he throws left handed and the Blue Jays absolutely kill lefties. This one could see some serious fireworks and I fully recommend going over on it.

Bet Over 8 Runs at: Bovada

A Royals/Jays lineup stack could be very profitable at: DraftKings

For our next game we have the Atlanta Braves taking on the Colorado Rockies. Coors Field has been a haven for over bets since it opened as the air up there makes it a homer happy ballpark. Tonight the bookmakers feel that it will be no different with the total currently set at 10.5 runs. Personally, I just don’t see that happening. For one, the Braves offense is seriously lacking the firepower right now to take advantage of Coors Field or Rockies’ pitcher David Hale. Second, Shelby Miller has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this year. While the Coors air does allow for more homeruns, it doesn’t have the same effect on groundballs and strikeouts. Miller should be able to handle himself just fine.

In our final pick of the night we have the Milwaukee Brewers facing the Los Angeles Dodgers. This total really baffled me as it is set at just seven runs. Jimmy Nelson is pitching for the Brewers with an ERA of 4.50 while Mike Bolsinger goes to the mound for LA. Bolsinger has pitched well on the season with a 3.09 ERA, but he is coming off a start where he got knocked around by the lowly New York Mets. The wind is going to be blowing out tonight and I really think these two teams are going over.

Bet Over 7 Runs at: 5Dimes

A Dodgers/Brewers mini-stack is undervalued at: FanDuel
