September 11th, 2015 MLB Betting & DFS Tips

Updated: September 11, 2015

Thanks to the Brewers, Pirates, Indians and Tigers we were able to go 2-0 last night on our tips. The games that we picked went over and our team managed to place in the top 125 in FanDuel’s MLB Rally. I was Brandon Phillips and Todd Frazier away from a serious profit, but you can say that on most winning nights. It’s amazing to me how many people had rostered players from teams whose games were rained out. ALWAYS CHECK THE WEATHER PEOPLE. A rain out can kill your team faster than anything. Tonight there is a good chance we lose the Cardinals/Reds and Indians/Tigers games so look out for that.

We did really like Verlander tonight, but I don’t think that game goes off as planned and it is too risky to mess with. Instead we have the following three games for you tonight. Happy Friday.

MLB Betting and Daily Fantasy Baseball Tips:

The big game in baseball today is the Yankees and Jays with David Price and Luis Severino on the mound. Price needs no introduction and he is probably the leading candidate for the AL Cy Young right now. He has been fantastic all season and has been fantastic for the Jays as well. He goes against the rookie Severino who has been just as big of an impact addition to the Yankees staff as Price has been to the Jays. In six starts he has a 2.04 ERA and 1.19 WHIP while striking out nearly a batter an inning. I really like the way that he’s pitched and when you consider the guy on the other side of the mound, the playoff type atmosphere that this one is sure to have and everything else; it’s hard to imagine this one going over. I think this one will be tight and I think it will be under.

For fantasy tonight I am heavily targeting Mariners against the Rockies and Chad Bettis. Yes, this game is away from Coors Field but that doesn’t magically make Rockies hitters any better. You can fade Rockies pitchers all season long. Bettis has a 4.20 ERA on the road this season and he’s facing a dangerous Mariners offense. Over the past month they have been the third best hitting team in all of baseball behind the two big obvious ones (Mets and Jays). With Nelson Cruz back in the lineup, Cano looking like himself and Trumbo starting to get hot, the Mariners are dangerous.

The Rays host the Red Sox tonight with Wade Miley going for the Sox. Miley hasn’t been great this season, but he’s been hit even harder on the road with a 4.66 road ERA and 1.66 WHIP. He just so happens to be facing the Rays who hit left handed pitchers very hard. Logan Forsythe and Evan Longoria are definitely in play tonight and I like the Rays to crush their team total of just 3.5 runs.
