A strong 3-0 night last night as we hit on all of our tips. Our fantasy tips were decent, but we missed out on some of the bigger lineups on the night as the Cubs were unable to capitalize on AJ Burnett. Still, a great night overall. Let’s get into today and see if we can continue this trend.

There is a short slate tonight and we have three games we’re featuring tonight. This isn’t a great night for pitching so we have a couple of good options there and there are plenty of good hitters out there tonight. Let’s take a look at what we have for tonight.

MLB Betting and Daily Fantasy Baseball Tips:

Tonight’s top pitching match-up is between the Royals and Indians in Cleveland. Defending Cy Young award winner Corey Kluber goes for the Indians and he has been great this season. He’s not had great run support in his starts, but his peripheral stats all show him to be the same pitcher who took down baseball’s top pitcher award. He goes against Yordano Ventura who has been great since coming off a stint on the disabled list. He’s been doing something different and his strikeout rates have been much better. He has a 2.92 ERA over his past six starts and I like pitchers from both sides of the plate in this one. I think you could get away with a Ventura/Kluber stack at DraftKings as there aren’t a lot of great pitching options tonight.

The Orioles and Rays are pretty much out of it, but they still have to play the games. Today the Orioles send Chris Tillman to the mound who has been awful of late. He’s allowed 4+ runs in four straight starts and holds a 5.20 ERA on the season. His numbers are a tick worse on the road as well. I’ll be targeting Rays hitters tonight against him as I think he’ll get his fifth straight bad start. He goes against Matt Moore who is making his third start off the DL. They’ve been a mixed bag, but I like his chances much better tonight. The Orioles are 24th in wOBA against lefties while the Yankees and Red Sox (who he faced before) are top four. I don’t like him well enough to start, but I think the Rays win this one.

Houston is no longer in first place and tonight’s Astros versus Rangers game won’t change that. The Rangers now hold a 1.5 game lead and the Astros desperately need a win to salvage this series from being a complete disaster. The match-up favors them with Colby Lewis and his 1.2 HR/9 rate on the mound. He is definitely a hittable pitcher and I think the Astros will jump all over him. (Like they were supposed to do last night.) Lance McCullers is on the mound for Houston who has been very solid this season. He has a 2.88 ERA over his past four starts and the Astros should save the series tonight.
